Leasing Consultant

About This Role

The Leasing Consultant will work full-time hours, including some weekend shifts, coordinating apartment rentals, move-ins/move-outs, and lease renewals. This role focuses on interacting with prospective and current residents to maximize occupancy and ensure retention.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and host tours for prospects, following up on guest cards
• Ensure model apartments are in touring condition, clean, safe, and stocked with gifts and snacks
• Answer and distribute incoming calls and messages
• Receive and distribute all incoming mail
• Assist with planning and hosting after-hours resident events
• Prepare move-in folders and maintain the business center, coffee bar, and pet bar
• Maintain accurate records of traffic activity by entering information into Yardi
• Convert phone traffic into scheduled appointments for community tours
• Provide excellent customer service to prospective and current tenants to promote a quality living experience
• Inspect apartments prior to resident move-ins and coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure move-in readiness
• Create and maintain confidential resident files, including reviewing move-in paperwork with new residents
• Complete all open and close procedures daily
• Assist with ongoing resident relations by ensuring requests are responded to promptly and accurately
• Shop competitive properties and pursue marketing opportunities with downtown businesses
• Assist with processing work order requests for residents and ensure timely completion
• Participate in company-provided training such as fair housing, safety, and non-discrimination.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license/automobile insurance
• Reliable transportation
• Positive, self-motivated professional who possesses good oral communication skills and enjoys working with people

Qualifications

• 1 year of previous leasing experience is preferred; 1 year of previous residential leasing experience with Yardi is preferred.
