About This Role

Lead Diesel Mechanic to oversee day-to-day shop operations, supervise all maintenance work, assure company fleet is within DOT compliance, and maintain service and parts records for Clean Harbors in Clive, UT. This role emphasizes health and safety and contributes to a cleaner environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes
  • Perform preventative maintenance, conduct inspections, troubleshoot, and diagnose failures & deficiencies, and perform necessary corrections
  • Conduct offsite road repairs and service calls
  • Complete daily checklist as required for proper operation of the unit being operated
  • Assure unit has daily maintenance duties performed and communicate any problems or issues immediately
  • Complete and submit all associated paperwork as required for tracking PM schedules
  • Conduct Safety Checks and Annual Vehicle Inspections in accordance with provincial & federal laws
  • Assure that Equipment is properly parked in compliance with facility permit and DOT requirements
  • Ensure that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintain a clean work environment

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of diesel engine experience
  • 1+ years DOT inspection experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Proficiency in all aspects of diesel mechanics (electrical, computer, ECMs, fuel, air systems, ABS, hydraulic systems, engines)
  • Proficiency in diagnostic, repair, and maintenance of heavy duty forklift, roll off truck, forklifts, pick up trucks, box trucks, tractors, and tankers

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of diesel engine experience
