Lead the Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) market growth in Texas by developing new work, performing project management duties, and targeting clients primarily within TxDOT and Toll Road Authorities. This role involves comprehensive business development, strategic planning, proposal writing, and operational oversight.
Responsibilities
- Grow the Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) Market in Texas as Senior PM developing work and performing PM duties
- Target clients including TxDOT, Toll Road Authorities & RMA’s, and potentially other governmental agencies and private work
- Develop a detailed CEI business development plan with scalable milestones
- Develop internal AECOM CEI team in the region
- Identify strategic partners, develop teaming partnerships and markets
- Strategize and preposition for upcoming RFPs
- Lead the proposal writing efforts and interview presentation
- Aid in marketing and proposal development throughout Texas CEI teams
- Conduct regular visits and maintain contact with TxDOT DOCs and AEs
- Develop and maintain a trained staff for CEI projects and new work acquisition
- Ensure the Client is being billed on time and participate in biweekly status meetings
- Develop Work Authorizations and assist with negotiation of billing rates and ODE’s
- Conduct Project Reviews including Safety and perform briefings with the client on AECOM performance
Requirements
- BA/BS or equivalent experience/education
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Drivers license
- PE license in TX or ability to obtain in six months
Qualifications
- BA/BS or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- 10 years of relevant experience, including 2 years of leadership
Nice to Have
- 15+ years of transportation experience
- Working knowledge of TxDOT Site Manager or AASHTOWare Project- CM (APCM) or equivalent
- TxDOT Precertification requirements: 11.1.1, 11.2.1, 11.5.1, 11.9.1, 22.1.1, 5.2.1, 4.2.1 (or can be obtained within 3 months)
- Previous experience as TxDOT Area Engineer, Assist. AE, Director of Construction (DOC), Assist. DOC, or similar
