About This Role

This role involves supporting environmental compliance, remediation, permitting, and planning projects. The successful candidate will perform data collection and analysis, conduct environmental sampling, and prepare technical memoranda and reports for various clients.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data for environmental compliance, sustainability, and stormwater projects
  • Perform environmental sampling (e.g., stormwater, wastewater, and hazardous waste)
  • Develop technical memoranda and reports
  • Prepare environmental reporting forms
  • Conduct site visits to federal, industrial, and municipal clients
  • Build analytic and design skills under supervision
  • Conduct engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer
  • Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer
  • Use computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Ecology, Biology or related discipline, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Valid US Driver's License

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Ecology, Biology or related discipline
  • Entry-level position for recent graduates

  • General knowledge of basic engineering and environmental sciences
  • Proficiency in standard office suite software applications
  • Ability to demonstrate professional demeanor in written and verbal communications with clients, regulatory officials, and fellow employees
  • Ability to write and to convey complex thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise manner
  • Ability to learn through on-the-job experience
  • Tolerance for work in outdoor environments in a range of weather conditions
  • Ability to work independently, both in an office environment and in the field
  • Ability to travel locally, including occasional extended travel
