Lead Technical Program Manager

About This Role

This role involves leading and delivering complex technology projects within the Commercial & Investment Bank, leveraging deep technical knowledge and agile methodologies to align technology initiatives with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, incorporating technical requirements, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure on-time delivery of technology solutions
• Identify and mitigate risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks and implementing contingency plans to maintain project and program momentum
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and business stakeholders, to define program scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with overall business goals
• Utilize advanced analytical reasoning to assess program performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven optimizations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Champion the adoption of agile methodologies and technical solutions, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team
• Communicate confidently, adapt messages to different audiences, and distil key messages for senior level stakeholders
• Develop effective relationships, engage and lead program teams, and reach across the firm when needed to deliver solutions
• Focus on detail while retaining big picture understanding, demonstrating resilience and determination in program delivery

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical program management
• Accredited PM qualifications (PMI, PRINCE etc) or relevant working experience
• Ability to define, adapt and implement programs using a variety of project methodologies (agile, waterfall, hybrid)
• Strong communication and presentational competence
• Ability to develop effective relationships and lead program teams
• Ability to focus on detail and big picture understanding
• Energetic self-starter, demonstrating curiosity, reliability, and commitment

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a large organization

Nice to Have

• Extensive JIRA and Agile experience
• Experience in Software delivery and Java knowledge
• Cloud certification, experience or exposure
