About This Role

This role involves defining and delivering product data to support strategic business objectives, operations, and analytics within the financial industry. You will ensure data is well-documented, classified, and compliant with firm-wide policies while mitigating data risks.

Responsibilities

  • Create plans for development and delivery of product data to support strategic business objectives, operations, advanced analytics, metrics and reporting
  • Ensure critical data within assigned products is well-documented as to its meaning and purpose, and classified accordingly with metadata
  • Provide work product with business and agile technology teams to establish robust and scalable cloud-based data solutions
  • Modernize infrastructure and enable self-service analytics platforms
  • Document requirements for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data within the product
  • Coordinate resources to deliver data quality requirements
  • Document processes and procedures to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks for data in the product
  • Read entity diagrams and ensure alignment with design specifications to achieve desired outcomes in data design and architecture
  • Execute assigned duties to comply with Firm wide policies, standards, and procedures related to the integrity and protection of data

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience analyzing data in different database technologies including Teradata, Oracle, Snowflake, and AWS EMR
  • 1+ year of experience with data management and governance processes in the financial industry
  • 1+ year of experience performing data manipulation, data structuring, data design flow and query optimization using SQL and Python
  • 1+ year of experience designing and developing interactive Excel and PowerPoint reports with functionalities including lookup, index match, data analysis add-ons, pivots, VBA and VBScript
  • 1+ year of experience performing quantitative analysis

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Analytics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field of study
  • 1 year of experience in the job offered or as Data Owner, Data/Risk Analyst, or related occupation
