Lead Preschool Teacher

About This Role

As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you will create a nurturing and educational space for preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety and fostering their growth through developmentally appropriate curriculum. You will also build strong partnerships with families to support each child's care and education.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of preschool-aged children in one assigned classroom
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards
• Curate programs and activities based on children's interests and learning styles
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment that permits children to grow and explore
• Partner with families to create plans for providing the best care and education for their children
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential OR 12 credits in Early Childhood Education courses
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and remain organized
• Ability to work within regular operating hours
• Meet state criteria for child care employment
• Proficiency in functional written and oral English

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential OR 12 credits in Early Childhood Education courses
• 2+ years of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred
