As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you will create a nurturing and educational space for preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety and fostering their growth through developmentally appropriate curriculum. You will also build strong partnerships with families to support each child's care and education.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and supervision of preschool-aged children in one assigned classroom
- Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards
- Curate programs and activities based on children's interests and learning styles
- Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment that permits children to grow and explore
- Partner with families to create plans for providing the best care and education for their children
- Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential OR 12 credits in Early Childhood Education courses
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and remain organized
- Ability to work within regular operating hours
- Meet state criteria for child care employment
- Proficiency in functional written and oral English
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential OR 12 credits in Early Childhood Education courses
- 2+ years of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred
