Lead Multifamily Superintendent

About This Role

This Lead Multifamily Superintendent role involves overseeing all field operations for large-scale multifamily construction projects in Raleigh, NC. The individual will coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, ensure safety and quality standards, and drive successful project delivery from site work through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction activities for multifamily projects, coordinating trades, managing site logistics, and maintaining progress against the project schedule
• Develop and execute look-ahead schedules, sequencing subcontractor activities to ensure efficient workflow and timely milestone completion
• Implement and enforce site safety programs, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain compliance with OSHA and project-specific safety requirements
• Enforce quality standards, conduct inspections, and ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and local building codes
• Manage subcontractor performance, resolve field issues, and communicate effectively with project managers, inspectors, and ownership teams

Requirements

• 10-20 years of experience with a general contractor on multifamily construction projects
• Leadership experience on ground-up or large-scale builds
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, plan reading, and field coordination
• Deep familiarity with multifamily construction sequencing, inspections, and jurisdictional requirements
• Proven field leader with strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple trades in a fast-paced, on-site environment

Qualifications

• 10-20 years of experience with a general contractor on multifamily construction projects, including leadership on ground-up or large-scale builds
