Landscape Foreman

About This Role

Manage the installation of landscape upgrades for commercial accounts, ensuring quality control, safety, and efficient scheduling of materials and subcontractors. This role involves leading crews and maintaining site safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly job site inspections and complete job site checklists
• Install required materials for landscaping, irrigation, and site development
• Schedule delivery of materials and equipment
• Manage crews' production rates, quality control, and safety
• Assist in job scheduling and coordination of subcontractors
• Ensure all employees attend weekly tailgate meetings
• Confirm safe operation by all employees, including review of traffic hazards, hard hat and safety gear checks
• Maintain a hazardous communication folder for chemicals used on site
• Report reckless/dangerous activities to job Superintendent and notify Safety Office of accidents

Requirements

• Knowledge of blueprints
• Ability to lead others and manage crews
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic
• Minimum 3 years construction site experience
• Ability to work in/or about situations near direct automotive traffic
• Ability to work near or about natural bodies of water
• Ability to work 8+ hours per day, 5 days/week (including overtime/weekend work)
• Ability to work in extreme conditions (temperatures over 100 degrees Fahrenheit)
• Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. (mulch, fertilizer, etc.)
• Ability to load/unload burlaps with plant cuttings onto trailer (up to 50 lbs.)
• Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years construction site experience
