About This Role

As a Registered Nurse on the Float/Flex Team, you will deliver compassionate, high-quality care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to ensure appropriate patient care is provided in a cost-effective, quality-driven, and patient-focused manner
  • Collect pertinent social, psychological, developmental, and spiritual data from the patient, significant others, and other health care team members
  • Perform ongoing assessment, formulate nursing diagnosis and goals, plan appropriate interventions, and evaluate the outcome of the interventions
  • Document in the patient and unit records according to written health system standards of care
  • Provide appropriate teaching and information to patients and families including information on Pain Management, Nutrition, Skin Integrity, Fall prevention, Diabetes, Disease Process, Smoking Cessation, and Discharge instructions
  • Demonstrate commitment to the goals and values of the patient, hospital, community, and nursing profession through cost containment measures, maintaining confidentiality, appropriate ethical decision–making, and ensuring patient safety
  • Use interventions substantiated by research as appropriate in the patient population
  • Participate in research activities, identify opportunities for research, and collaborate with outcomes managers and department

Requirements

  • Bachelors Of Nursing
  • At least one (1) year of RN experience
  • Registered Nurse license in Texas
  • Basic Life Support - CPR within 14 days of hire
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 6 months of hire

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Of Nursing
  • At least one (1) year of RN experience

Certifications

Basic Life Support - CPR (Required) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Required)
