About This Role

Provide technical support for software product creation and delivery, conducting research and collaborating with developers. Administer and troubleshoot systems used in the Software Development infrastructure, including documentation, design, code, and release components.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the creation and delivery of software products
  • Conduct or participate in technical research and collaboration with developers
  • Administer systems used in the Software Development infrastructure
  • Support, coordinate, integrate, troubleshoot, and administer systems to control and release components
  • Perform physical de-racking, moving, and re-racking of network equipment
  • Document installs, de-installs, and reinstalls
  • Receive new inventory
  • Install network and/or computer equipment
  • Add new devices to the database system
  • Build and change network topologies, documenting changes
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues on installed equipment
  • Keep a safe, clean, and productive lab environment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in Software Development or Support
  • Focused experience in a key area of Software Development support
  • Ability to navigate and work comfortably in a UNIX/Linux command-line environment
  • Ability to install Operating system like Ubuntu, Centos, REDHAT, Rocky Linux
  • Familiarity with common shell commands (ls, cd, pwd, cp, mv, rm, mkdir, chmod, chown, grep)
  • Basic process management skills (ps, top, starting/stopping services)
  • Understanding of file permissions and ownership at a basic level
  • Ability to view log files and configuration files (cat, less, nano/vi)
  • Basic understanding of IP addresses and network communication
  • Familiarity with common networking terms (IP, subnet, CIDR, gateway, router, DNS)
  • Knowledge of common network protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSH)
  • Understanding of DNS concepts
  • Ability to perform simple network checks (ping, nslookup)
  • Ability to approach technical issues methodically
  • Ability to interpret logs, error messages, and system output
  • Demonstrates curiosity and a willingness to investigate problems
  • Understands when to ask for help and how to clearly explain an issue
  • Able to reproduce issues and verify fixes
  • Strong analytical thinking skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to ask relevant questions, document findings, and escalate issues
  • Maintains a calm and professional approach when handling incidents

Qualifications

  • Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in Software Development or Support, with focused experience in a key area of Software Development support.
