About This Role

Manage the kitchen operations for The Goddard School, including menu development, inventory, and daily meal preparation and delivery for children.

Responsibilities

  • Develop menus monthly with the help of the director
  • Take inventory of items and provide ordering needs for the director
  • Prepare snacks and lunch daily for children at the school
  • Deliver food to classrooms daily following a schedule
  • Collect and clean all kitchen items after lunch service

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Empathy and compassion for young children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, children and families
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge or experience in the food service industry
