Lead Teacher Preschool

About This Role

Coordinate the daily operations of assigned classes for preschool-aged children (2-5 years old). Plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities in a safe environment, while engaging with children and communicating daily with parents.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily operations of assigned classes for preschool-aged children (2-5 years old)
• Plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment
• Works directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service
• Observe children’s interests and work with other teachers to develop creative ideas for an engaging curriculum
• Communicate with parents daily, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements

Requirements

• Successfully completed state-required pre-service training
• Develops relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
• Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
• Meets background check eligibility

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• 1-2 years of previous experience preferred
