Kitchen Leader

About This Role

The Kitchen Leader is responsible for preparing delicious food, grilling meats, and sautéing vegetables while maintaining kitchen quality, safety, and organization. This role also involves ordering food and training Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, resolving food quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew members and customers to ensure great service.
• Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment, ensuring it is kept in good repair and malfunctions are addressed.
• Ensure the kitchen and all Crew members meet necessary safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Fill out Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and manage Inventory Rotation (FIFO).

Requirements

• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• High school diploma.
• Restaurant experience.
