As a Kitchen Leader, you will ensure the quality and safety of Chipotle's food, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and train Crew members to advance their careers. This role involves cooking, grilling, sautéing, and managing inventory to create a great customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, following kitchen procedures
- Monitor food waste and inventory levels, resolving food quality issues
- Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew
- Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders
- Communicate effectively with Crew members and customers to ensure great customer service
- Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized
- Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; arrange for repairs for malfunctioning equipment
- Ensure the kitchen and all Crew members meet necessary safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents
- Fill out Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and manage Inventory Rotation (FIFO)
Requirements
- Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy
- Knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location
- High school diploma
- Restaurant experience
