About This Role

Manage daily operations, staff performance, and profitability for the Kitchen Department, ensuring efficiency, service excellence, and strict adherence to food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations and staff performance to meet department goals, ensuring efficiency and service excellence
• Oversee product ordering, pricing accuracy, and proper labeling in alignment with company and merchandising strategies
• Supervise and support junior team members, ensuring fair task distribution and strict adherence to daily checklists
• Provide hands-on coaching, training, and guidance to team members to promote continuous learning and improvement
• Maintain product quality, food safety, freshness, and proper FIFO practices, ensuring items like BBQ, Hot Foods, Dim Sum, and Sushi are well-packaged and displayed
• Conduct quality checks and inventory control, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and equipment maintenance meet safety standards
• Promote teamwork and foster an inclusive, respectful work environment
• Lead by example by actively participating in all hands-on duties required in the Kitchen Department

Requirements

• Good communication skills in English
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Familiar with kitchen-related products, packaging, display, and promotion techniques
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Well-versed in workplace health and safety practices
• Familiar with tools and equipment relevant to the role
• Able to accurately interpret product labels
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, and customer service skills

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role preferred

Nice to Have

• Proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin)
• 3 years specific experience in a supervisory role
