The Junior Accountant supports daily accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, account analysis, reconciliation, and reviewing financial accounts to ensure deadlines and compliance are met. This role handles vendor payments and maintains financial records.
Responsibilities
- Process accurate and timely vendor payments
- Review general ledger accounts, subsidiary ledgers, income and expense accounts for accurate coding and correct ledger amounts
- Assist AP team with month-end closing tasks and journal entries
- Maintain records and files in accordance with established filing system
- Ensure transactions are correctly coded and verify compliance with financial procedures
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Uphold confidentiality at all times
- Assist with other special projects as assigned by Management
Requirements
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication
- Problem-solving skills
- Strong quantitative and analytical competency
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong written, verbal, and quantitative skills
- Comfortable working in Excel
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent preferred
