IS Technician

About This Role

Join Clean Harbors as an IS Technician to perform hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials handling in the field. This role focuses on ensuring health and safety while operating specialized equipment and conducting routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Perform hands-on operation of manual and automated hydroblasting equipment
• Operate special equipment, such as Ultra High-Pressure pumps
• Energize pumping equipment and/or any specialized Hydroblasting and/or Chemical cleaning equipment, vacuum trucks and cutting equipment being used on the job
• Examine surfaces cleaned to ensure conformance to company and customer expectations
• Conduct routine and required maintenance on the hydroblasting unit and all peripherals, including industrial vacuuming equipment and the disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials
• Perform routine maintenance on company equipment being used on the job

Requirements

• Reliable transportation
• Ability to perform physical functions per Key Responsibilities
• Agreeing to be on-call for emergency response, including weekends and holidays
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical
• Understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations

Nice to Have

• Experience with Hydroblasting, Vacuum Trucks, Warehouse/Manufacturing, General Labor, Production and Industrial Field
• OSHA certification
• Knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers
• Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
