IS Equipment Operator

About This Role

Operate heavy industrial cleaning equipment and execute HPC Industrial jobs safely and properly. This role involves supervising and completing single task jobs and performing routine maintenance on company equipment.

Responsibilities

• Act as safety representative responsible for safety policies and procedures of both the company and the customer
• Operate vacuum equipment and hydroblasting equipment
• Operate special equipment, such as Ultra High-Pressure pumps
• Energize pumping equipment and/or any specialized hydroblasting and/or chemical cleaning equipment, vacuum trucks and cutting equipment
• Examine surface cleaned to ensure conformance to company and customer specifications
• Perform routine maintenance on company equipment
• Perform duties associated with liquid vacs, air machines and jet rodders
• May direct a crew of vacuum technicians
• Transport equipment and personnel to and from customer locations
• Complete pre and post trip inspections, driver’s logs and comply with all other vehicle policy and DOT requirements
• Load and unload hoses
• Unload vacuum truck at the dump site
• Provide general maintenance in the field

Requirements

• Class B CDL (Minimum)
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission
• No restriction with Tanker Endorsement
• Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training and essential experience gained on other jobs
• Understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations
• Valid driver’s license, CDL Class A other requirements of company’s driving policy
• Smartphone required for Electronic Logging Device
• Knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers
• Experience operating a vacuum truck
• Working knowledge of operating equipment used in wet and dry vacuums
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
• Entry level with specific vocational preparation and on-the-job training. Experience operating a vacuum truck and knowledge of operating equipment used in wet and dry vacuums is required.

• Experience in environment area a plus
• Roll Off trailers experience
• Dry vans experience
• HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsements (preferred)
• Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
