Operate heavy industrial cleaning equipment and execute HPC Industrial jobs safely and properly. This role involves supervising and completing single task jobs and performing routine maintenance on company equipment.
Responsibilities
- Act as safety representative responsible for safety policies and procedures of both the company and the customer
- Operate vacuum equipment and hydroblasting equipment
- Operate special equipment, such as Ultra High-Pressure pumps
- Energize pumping equipment and/or any specialized hydroblasting and/or chemical cleaning equipment, vacuum trucks and cutting equipment
- Examine surface cleaned to ensure conformance to company and customer specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on company equipment
- Perform duties associated with liquid vacs, air machines and jet rodders
- May direct a crew of vacuum technicians
- Transport equipment and personnel to and from customer locations
- Complete pre and post trip inspections, driver’s logs and comply with all other vehicle policy and DOT requirements
- Load and unload hoses
- Unload vacuum truck at the dump site
- Provide general maintenance in the field
Requirements
- Class B CDL (Minimum)
- Must be able to drive a manual transmission
- No restriction with Tanker Endorsement
- Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training and essential experience gained on other jobs
- Understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations
- Valid driver’s license, CDL Class A other requirements of company’s driving policy
- Smartphone required for Electronic Logging Device
- Knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers
- Experience operating a vacuum truck
- Working knowledge of operating equipment used in wet and dry vacuums
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Entry level with specific vocational preparation and on-the-job training. Experience operating a vacuum truck and knowledge of operating equipment used in wet and dry vacuums is required.
Nice to Have
- Experience in environment area a plus
- Roll Off trailers experience
- Dry vans experience
- HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsements (preferred)
- Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
