Irrigation Manager

About This Role

Manage irrigation services for commercial landscapes, overseeing personnel, equipment, and client communication while ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. This role involves direct supervision, training, and development of service teams.

Responsibilities

• Understand client needs through regular communication with Account Managers
• Manage all irrigation services, coordinating materials, personnel, equipment, and subcontractors
• Inspect properties to prepare action plans for service
• Monitor irrigation systems post-installation and service to identify problems
• Perform hands-on work with crews to meet demands
• Work with the Branch Manager to identify staffing needs, hire new crew, and prepare daily schedules
• Complete proper paperwork for employee changes and new hires
• Communicate with, counsel, train, discipline, review, and develop growth plans for employees
• Provide hands-on training and support for crew members on equipment operation, pruning, safety, and quality
• Focus on safety and monitor safety records
• Maintain and manage administrative systems including time sheets, job databases, and service schedules
• Order materials and monitor costs and deliveries
• Request purchase orders and use in accordance with company guidelines
• Assist the Branch Manager in irrigation sales tasks

Requirements

• Minimum 2 year degree in business-related field or equivalent experience
• 3 years of customer service, management, and leadership experience
• 1 year of supervisory experience
• Certifications and licenses needed to perform work in local market

Qualifications

• Minimum of a 2 year degree in a business related field or equivalent experience
• 3 years of prior customer service, management, and leadership experience, including at least 1 year supervisory experience
