Investment Analyst

About This Role

Evaluate sophisticated financial analyses and investment theses for a public markets evaluation and research review board, providing structured feedback to define best-in-class research standards.

Responsibilities

• Review equity and/or credit research reports for analytical depth, logical consistency, and thesis clarity
• Evaluate financial models and valuation methodologies (DCF, comparable analysis, NAV, LBO, credit metrics)
• Assess portfolio construction logic, position sizing, and risk-adjusted return assumptions
• Provide structured, evidence-based written critiques of research reports and models
• Collaborate with other panelists to design standardized scoring rubrics and evaluation criteria
• Participate in periodic calibration sessions to benchmark analyst-level outputs
• Contribute sector or multi-asset expertise to elevate institutional research standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of institutional investing experience
• Demonstrated expertise in fundamental equity and/or credit research
• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills
• Strong understanding of portfolio construction, risk management, and performance attribution
• Experience reviewing and mentoring analyst work product
• Exceptional written communication skills and ability to provide precise, structured feedback
• High standards of confidentiality, compliance, and professional integrity

Qualifications

• 5+ years of institutional investing experience

Nice to Have

• Former Senior Analyst, Portfolio Manager, or Research Lead
• Sector specialization (e.g., Technology, Industrials, Energy, Healthcare, Financials) or credit expertise (IG, HY, structured credit, bank loans)
