Information Technology Intern - Summer 2026

About This Role

The Information Technology (IT) Intern will gain wide exposure to systems, components, workflows, and technologies across the IT spectrum at a global firm. This role involves analyzing user needs, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions, assisting the intern in identifying a specific IT area for potential long-term employment. The intern will provide technical support, assist with security tasks, contribute to application development, support data center and infrastructure, and work with cloud and DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and appropriate routing for service tickets, escalating as needed.
• Restore service to affected users by remote troubleshooting and using ServiceNow Knowledgebase.
• Create technical documentation and FAQs for the ServiceNow Knowledgebase.
• Triage cybersecurity incidents including credential loss and malware.
• Assist with handling and installation of data center hardware, including upgrading firmware and installing OS.
• Deploy cloud resources using Azure DevOps pipelines and create code to provision resources.
• Monitor IT budget and manage laptop hardware deployed globally.
• Develop custom web applications and third-party integration points.
• Perform troubleshooting of endpoint issues related to security blocks.
• Analyze and support a library of locally installed and cloud software.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Enrolled in an Associate’s, Bachelor's, or Master’s degree program in Computer Science
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment while handling multiple complex projects/tasks simultaneously with a focus on details
• Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
• Performs well under pressure while dealing with unexpected problems in a professional manner
• Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of employees and management
• Ability to interact and build relationships and consensus among people
• Possesses ability to consistently produce clean code and adhere to appropriate documentation standards

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an Associate’s, Bachelor's, or Master’s degree program in Computer Science

• Knowledge in developer language such as C#, Java, HTML, Go, and Terraform
• Knowledge using the Microsoft Azure Portal
• Knowledge with miscellaneous PC/Laptop and Server hardware
