Consultant IT Audit

About This Role

This role involves consulting on IT Audit to help clients identify and manage business risk, improve IT processes, and enhance controls within their organizations. You will perform IT general control audit procedures and work with clients across various industries.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate an understanding of IT controls associated with applications, databases, operating systems, networks, and reporting tools
• Perform IT general control audit procedures including walkthroughs and testing for areas such as change management, logical security, computer operations, and cybersecurity
• Work with client personnel to understand IT processes and controls, gather audit evidence, and analyze testing results
• Help draft management letter comments and audit reports
• Participate in client meetings alongside FORVIS partners and managers
• Provide non-assurance services such as internal audit consulting, IT risk assessments, IT compliance reviews, and cybersecurity assessments
• Deliver commitment to unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, information systems, computer science or related discipline
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Effective time management
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work well with a team as well as independently
• Problem-solving attitude
• Willingness to take initiative
• Close attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines
• Solid technical accounting and IT knowledge

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, information systems, computer science or related discipline

Nice to Have

• Previous experience or internships in a public accounting firm performing IT audit or IT consulting work
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam or have CPA certification
• Eligibility to sit for the CISA exam or have CISA certification
• GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall)
