As a Consultant on the IT Audit team, you will help clients identify and manage business risk and improve IT processes and controls. You will gain valuable experience, use critical thinking, and build business relationships while staying informed on IT trends.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrating an understanding of IT controls associated with applications, databases, operating systems, networks, and reporting tools.
- Performing IT general control audit procedures including walkthroughs and testing of IT general controls for areas such as change management, logical security, computer operations, cybersecurity, etc.
- Working with client personnel to gain an understanding of IT processes and controls, obtain audit evidence, and analyze testing results.
- Helping to draft management letter comments and the audit report.
- Participating in client meetings alongside FORVIS partners and managers.
- Providing a variety of non-assurance services to our clients including internal audit consulting, IT risk assessments, IT compliance reviews, cybersecurity assessments, technology consulting, threat and vulnerability testing, social engineering, business continuity planning.
- Delivering Forvis Mazars’ commitment to unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external clients.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, information systems, computer science or related discipline
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel to client locations up to 20%
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, information systems, computer science or related discipline
Nice to Have
- Previous experience or internships in a public accounting firm performing IT audit or IT consulting work
- Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam or have CPA certification
- Eligibility to sit for the CISA exam or have CISA certification
- GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall)
