Information Systems Supervisor - Network

About This Role

Lead a team responsible for maintaining and securing the Missouri Department of Transportation's (MoDOT) network infrastructure. This role ensures optimal performance and compliance while mentoring technical professionals and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the health and performance of MoDOT's network systems and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Troubleshoot network issues, implement upgrades, and maintain accurate documentation of configurations, policies, and procedures
• Establish processes for tracking productivity, prioritize tasks, and communicate progress to IS leadership
• Define roles and responsibilities, develop succession plans, and anticipate staffing needs
• Enforce security policies, monitor for threats, and implement proactive measures to safeguard MoDOT's data and systems
• Educate end users on best practices and respond swiftly to security incidents
• Set clear expectations, foster open communication, and promote accountability within the team
• Provide coaching, constructive feedback, and recognition while encouraging professional growth and skill development
• Collaborate with vendors, coordinate with other IS teams, and work closely with business units

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field AND six years of progressive experience in information systems OR Ten years of increasingly responsible professional experience in positions related to information systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree: Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, OR Ten years of increasingly responsible professional experience in positions related to information systems.
• Six years of progressive experience in information systems or ten years of increasingly responsible professional experience in information systems.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Cisco networking, security and Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP)
• Experience leading a team, projects, or supervisor experience
• Excellent communication, planning, time management, organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to lead a team, provide direction and take forward-thinking initiative
• Ability to collaborate with varying levels of professional staff, consultants, and stakeholders
