Independent Optometrist

About This Role

This role is for an Independent Optometrist who will lease space within Walmart stores to provide comprehensive eye and vision care to patients. The optometrist will have autonomy over their practice's schedule, patient flow, and fee structure.

Responsibilities

• Launch and operate optometry services in Walmart stores
• Provide eye and vision care to patients
• Take a leading role in general health and wellbeing assessments related to eye care
• Establish days of practice and hours of operation
• Control patient schedule and set fee schedule

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school OR Ophthalmologist (MD or DO) from an accredited school
• Valid state optometry license OR valid state ophthalmology license
• General Liability Certificate
• Professional Liability Insurance Certificate
