About This Role

The Imaging Student Extern PRN will gain valuable hands-on experience in imaging, working alongside experienced team members to provide compassionate patient care. This role involves assisting with patient preparation, transport, and maintaining a safe and efficient imaging environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for imaging by obtaining histories, verifying identities, and assisting with positioning communicating clearly and compassionately
• Safely transport patients between areas, supporting their comfort and emotional needs during procedures
• Set up imaging rooms, manage turnover, and organize supplies to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment
• Serve as a vital connection between patients, technologists, and the care team by communicating needs and concerns promptly
• Take ownership of growth by participating in learning opportunities and following safety and confidentiality standards

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited school of Radiology
• Good standing in accredited school of Radiology
• Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of Radiology

Nice to Have

• Completion of 1st year of Radiology program
