About This Role

Lead HVAC preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of industrial HVAC systems across multiple acute and non-acute care hospital settings to ensure optimal equipment function and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot, and service industrial HVAC systems
  • Conduct tests and analysis of data to assure proper functioning of equipment
  • Provide recommendations for remaining life expectancy, potential replacement/repair costs, and business interruption risks
  • Maintain equipment per HCA Healthcare Engineering standards to ensure highest level of efficiency
  • Perform quality control for HVAC Capital Reinvestment projects and commission equipment
  • Maintain accurate service and maintenance records using HCA Healthcare’s computerized maintenance management system
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, visitors, colleagues, and leaders
  • Train and mentor apprentice level HVAC technicians and fellow colleagues
  • Maintain chilled water and centralized air handling units through regularly scheduled preventative maintenance activities
  • Perform coil cleanings, filter changes, test and balance activities, sensor calibrations, and UV bulb replacements
  • Perform belt alignments and replacement, drain pan treatments, damper calibration and repairs, cleaning interior of AHU
  • Perform electrical safety inspections
  • Lead apprentice level HVAC technicians in troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of commercial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems
  • Create cost and downtime estimates for major repairs and/or equipment replacement
  • Perform work to the highest industry and manufacturer recommended standards
  • Follow all applicable federal, state, and local safety guidelines
  • Complete and document all work and labor time using HCA Healthcare Engineering’s CMMS

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in a commercial, industrial, or healthcare environment
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification
  • Valid Driver’s License

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in a commercial, industrial, or healthcare environment.
