About This Role

Serve as a strategic HR partner at In-N-Out Burger, providing value-added HR services, resolving Associate relations issues, and offering HR policy guidance and interpretation to support a large hourly workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on HR issues including coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution
  • Conduct internal investigations on workplace situations, documenting findings and focusing on issue resolution
  • Partner with managers on the development and implementation of corrective action and performance improvement plans
  • Interpret HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Provide analysis and recommend action on specific HR issues to managers and associates
  • Apply knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends to address business issues related to training, engagement, staffing, and retention
  • Contribute to the development and facilitation of training seminars for leaders on various HR topics
  • Utilize company HCM systems to provide management with valid and actionable HR data, KPIs, and dashboards
  • Consult with Compensation on company philosophy for merit and promotion processes, and support Performance Appraisal process
  • Engage in other associate relations duties and complete HR projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-6+ years of Human Resources and Associate Relations experience with large hourly workforces
  • Experience applying various state labor laws
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to build trusting partnerships
  • Demonstrated ability to invoke change by influencing rather than directing management
  • Ability to strategically analyze data and examine issues
  • Associate relations, employment law, compensation, performance management, and recruitment skills
  • Professional and confidential in all interactions with proven coaching and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills, including prioritizing and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. Equivalent experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • 2-6+ years of Human Resources and Associate Relations experience working with large hourly workforces and applying various states labor laws
