The Housekeeping Aide/Porter at St. Anthony Healthcare Center provides cleaning services to ensure a sanitary and comfortable environment for guests, associates, and visitors. This role is crucial for maintaining a safe and home-like atmosphere within the facility.
Responsibilities
- Cleans assigned guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily according to facility procedures, including dusting, dry mopping, wet mopping, sanitizing, and scrubbing.
- Respects guests’ privacy and preferences, knocking before entering guest rooms and bathrooms.
- Cleans walls, ceilings, windows, mirrors, and waxed floors according to department procedures and cleaning schedules.
- Secures housekeeping supplies to ensure they remain out of reach of guests at all times.
- Disposes of trash and waste, including biohazardous materials, in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Posts signs indicating safety hazards when housekeeping activities pose risks to guests, associates, or visitors.
- Assists with laundry as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One year of experience as a housekeeper preferred.
