About This Role

As a Dietary Aide, you will assist in food preparation and presentation for residents. This role involves ensuring safe food handling practices and contributing to a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle and store all food according to facility procedures and safe food handling guidelines.
• Assist with food preparation as assigned by supervisor.
• Prepare food items according to standardized recipes, ensuring safe food handling practices.
• Assist with the set-up of the food tray line.
• Assemble diet trays and deliver tray carts to dining areas or units.
• Clean dishes, utensils, and equipment according to facility procedures.
• Assist in dishwashing operation and cleaning tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One year of experience as a food service aide in an institutional food service setting preferred.
