Housekeeper

About This Role

The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, hallways, furnishings, flooring, and work areas to ensure guest satisfaction. This role involves general cleaning tasks and replenishing supplies.

Responsibilities

• Make beds
• Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners
• Dust furniture and equipment
• Polish metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings
• Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork
• Wash windows, door panels, and sills
• Empty wastebaskets and empty and clean ashtrays
• Transport trash and waste to the disposal area
• Replenish bathroom supplies
• Replace light bulbs
• Abide by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals
• Report to work for scheduled shifts on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy
• Know and comply with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties
• Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner

• Ability to empty wastebaskets and ashtrays
• Ability to transport trash and waste to the disposal area
• Ability to replenish bathroom supplies
• Ability to replace light bulbs
• Adherence to material safety data sheets regulations when using chemicals
• Ability to report to work for scheduled shifts on time and in uniform
• Knowledge of and compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
