Hospice Sales Representative Weekends

About This Role

Serve as a hospice liaison for Amedisys, educating healthcare professionals, patients, and families about home care services. Develop relationships with key referral sources and coordinate patient admissions while working a Friday through Monday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Educate health care professionals, patients, and families about home care services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key referral sources, such as hospitals, nursing homes and physician offices to generate leads.
• Coordinate patient admissions with the team, including obtaining all required documentation to complete referral to admission process.
• Conduct on-site visits to assess patient needs and identify barriers to care.
• Keep accurate records of patient interactions and referrals.
• Achieve admissions, product, and payor-mix goals.
• Meet short and long-term target account goals.
• Document the minimum expectation of sales calls daily in CRM (including pre and post call notes).
• Maintain a complete, up-to-date record of targeted referral sources in territory in CRM.
• Attend community events to promote Amedisys.
• Respond to customer complaints in timely manner.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a healthcare related business development/outreach role.
• Reliable transportation
• Current driver's license
• Liability insurance

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in a healthcare related business development/outreach role.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in outside sales/business development in the healthcare industry
• Background in cold calling customers in pharmaceuticals, medical device sales, hospital, home health, hospice or long-term care
