Hospice Chaplain

About This Role

This role will provide spiritual care and guidance to hospice patients and their families, honoring their beliefs and values. This position involves working with a dedicated care team to develop, implement, and supervise the spiritual needs of those receiving care.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care support and guidance to hospice patients and their families
• Honor the patient’s beliefs and values in all spiritual care interactions
• Work collaboratively with the care team to address patient spiritual needs
• Develop, implement, and supervise spiritual care plans for patients and families

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in counseling, theology, divinity, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in a health care or hospice setting
• Experience in family counseling regarding issues of loss, grief, death and dying
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, move intermittently and lift at least 25 lbs

Qualifications

Nice to Have

• Completion of one unit of clinical pastoral education or minister services
