Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

About This Role

Join Clean Harbors as a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic responsible for the repair and preventative maintenance of the company's fleet, ensuring safety and operational readiness in Baltimore, MD.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes
• Move company equipment safely on yard as needed
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery
• Complete daily checklist as required
• Assure that Equipment is properly parked/secured in compliance with facility permit and DOT requirements
• Maintain facility via housekeeping duties

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work in a team environment
• 1+ years prior experience working on heavy duty-trucks and equipment
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience
• Must provide own basic tools

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years prior experience working on heavy duty-trucks and equipment, 1+ years DOT inspection experience

Nice to Have

• Electrical diagnosis and repair experience
• Emissions systems DPF-DEF experience
• Pump and hydraulic system experience
• Clutch adjustment and replacement experience
• Related mechanical certifications
