Health Services Director

About This Role

Lead and manage health services for a luxury senior living community, ensuring quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and a dynamic team of caregivers. This role involves resident assessments, care coordination, staff supervision, and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and coordinate potential assisted living resident assessment programs in accordance with regulations and community policies
• Ensure initial assisted living resident assessments are completed before move-in and comprehensive care plans upon move-in
• Conduct routinely scheduled re-assessments and change-of-condition assessments for assisted living residents
• Ensure each assisted living resident receives optimal care and programs to meet individual needs
• Conduct interviews and observations of assisted living residents on a continual basis
• Alert Executive Director, family members, and others of changes in residents' physical or emotional health
• Ensure continuity of total care regimen by coordinating nursing services with other resident services
• Recruit, interview, hire, manage, schedule, motivate, evaluate, and supervise department staff
• Perform all administrative duties accurately and timely, including evaluations, forms, reports, and resident records
• Coordinate prescription orders with doctors' offices and pharmacy delivery of medications
• Manage the department within budgetary guidelines, track inventory, and order supplies as needed
• Ensure regulatory compliance and report any issues or concerns immediately

Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years experience in senior living, healthcare, or related industry
• Certification as an RN, LPN or LVN
• Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience
• First Aid/CPR/BLS Certification
• Background clearances as required by government regulations
• Ability to meet health requirements, including TB

Qualifications

• Required specialized Nursing coursework for certification or certification as an RN, LPN or LVN
• Minimum five to seven years of experience in senior living, healthcare, or related industry; Minimum two to three years of supervisory experience
