About This Role

Lead and scale H-E-B Retail Media (HRM) Analytics and Growth Strategy, setting the vision for how insights, measurement, and performance storytelling drive advertiser growth and commercial impact. This executive role involves managing a data science team and partnering with HRM Business and Product leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Own and scale H-E-B Retail Media (HRM) Analytics and Growth Strategy
  • Set the vision for how insights, measurement, and performance storytelling drive advertiser growth and commercial impact
  • Serve as the People Manager for Retail Media Analytics and Growth Strategy
  • Partner closely with HRM Business and Product leadership
  • Accountable for activating and commercializing HRM’s measurement capabilities from insight generation through go-to-market execution
  • Ensure advertisers and internal teams understand, trust, and act on analytics to drive measurable business outcomes
  • Shape a cohesive measurement narrative, lead go-to-market strategy, and translate advanced analytics into clear, compelling value propositions for brand partners
  • Influence the product roadmap by embedding advertiser insights, analytics innovation, and performance storytelling into HRM’s long-term measurement vision
  • Mentor data scientists on adoption of the latest ML/AI best practices and reusable assets
  • Engage directly with advertisers and agencies, articulating analytical findings and influencing investment strategy

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a retail or retail-related data/decision science role
  • Experience managing data science teams across multiple projects
  • 7+ years of experience in management or technical leadership
  • Strong collaboration track record with product managers, engineers, and data scientists
  • Experience in media analytics, marketing science, or data strategy (preferably retail media, CPG, ad tech, or digital marketing)
  • Ability to engage directly with advertisers and agencies
  • Deep understanding of the media measurement ecosystem (programmatic display, sponsored search, CTV, omnichannel attribution)
  • Hands-on operation experience with incrementality testing, MTA, and MMM methodologies (designing and interpreting design of experiment methods like holdout experiments, causal inference, and synthetic control groups)
  • Experience working with clean rooms/CaaS, identity graphs, and 1P/3P data integrations for closed-loop measurement
  • Familiarity with key retail media KPIs and metrics
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills

Qualifications

  • A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in a retail or retail-related decision science role, including 7+ years in management or technical leadership
