Head Coach, Women's Volleyball

About This Role

Direct and supervise the Women's Volleyball program, ensuring eligibility and academic success for student-athletes while integrating the sports program into the University's overall mission. This role involves coaching, administrative duties, and compliance with NCAA and Conference regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and supervise the Women's Volleyball program
• Ensure eligibility and academic success of student-athletes
• Integrate the sports program into the overall mission of the University
• Read and comply with NCAA Rules Manual, NCAA News, Conference Manual, and University Catalog
• Compose department memos, team schedules, and player evaluations
• Correspond with Athletic Director, staff, and prospects to ensure program success
• Develop and maintain contacts with University staff, faculty, students, alumni, vendors, and other universities
• Handle or respond to budget requests, transfers, and purchases
• Supervise and instruct assistant coaches on duties and responsibilities
• Conduct daily staff meetings
• Demonstrate physical acts to teach student-athletes plays, strategy, and athletic techniques
• Travel for recruiting, contests, and speaking engagements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 4+ years of experience in a similar position at a university
• Physical strength and agility to demonstrate plays, strategy, and athletic techniques

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• at least four (4) years’ experience Similar position at this or other universities
