Join a passionate team of tree care professionals as a Groundperson. This role involves assisting climbers and foremen, performing tree pruning and removal services, and maintaining equipment, all in an outdoor work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the climbers, foreman, and other crew members
- Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients
- Prune, thin, and remove deadwood throughout the tree canopy
- Remove hazardous trees
- Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more
Requirements
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
Nice to Have
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
