Grocery - Overnight Stocker

About This Role

Join a highly-functioning team as an Overnight Stocker, responsible for stocking shelves and organizing products to ensure H-E-B stores are well-supplied while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves and refill displays
• Load, unload, and move heavy, bulky products, including unloading trucks
• Condition shelves and products, applying product knowledge for rotation dates and label information
• Keep department clean and well-organized, including back rooms and shelves
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations for product food safety and sanitation
• Work efficiently with a team attitude and maintain productivity standards
• Assist customers in locating products and answering product questions
• May coach and train other Stockers

Requirements

• Minimum age 18
• Understanding of SOPs related to emergency procedures and stocking
• Communication skills
• Organization and time-management skills
• Customer service skills and service mentality
• Ability to perform repetitive, physical tasks including heavy lifting (up to 86 lbs with assistance for heavier items)
• Ability to think on your feet and work with agility
• Ability to work as part of a team to meet nightly goals
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks with close attention to detail
• Ability to apply personal discipline to SOPs and leader direction
• Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• Entry level with preferred experience in stocking and customer service
