Global Strategy and Planning Director

About This Role

This role will develop and evolve an enterprise-wide strategic plan for a leading fintech company, leading key strategy projects and partnering with business segments to evaluate strategic initiatives. The Director will drive the next phase of growth by influencing business lines and building thought leadership on the future of the industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve an enterprise-wide strategic plan
• Lead key strategy projects across the company
• Partner with business segments and support units to evaluate, develop, and review strategic initiatives
• Interface and manage relationships with external consultants and industry experts for strategic analysis and development
• Provide strategic council to influence business lines on the development of large complex business initiatives
• Build thought leadership on the future state of the industry (e.g., the future of money movement)
• Analyze internal and external trends to identify growth opportunities and define the organization’s long-term direction
• Set goals, define KPIs, monitor performance, and prioritize projects to meet organizational strategic objectives
• Generate new ideas for products, services, or processes to drive growth and create value
• Lead the enterprise strategic planning process
• Serve as a trusted advisor on strategic initiatives, providing thought leadership
• Contribute to and develop strategic presentations to the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team
• Actively monitor the entire financial services industry with focus on emerging technology, industry trends, new business models, innovation, disruption, FinTech’s, and strategic partnerships

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, marketing, or related field
• 10+ years of business experience in a Financial Industry or management consulting firm driving corporate strategy
• 5+ years of leadership experience
• Good understanding of Payment strategy (or general Payments environment)
