About This Role

This role supports large clients in the Digital Infrastructure sector by combining program management, technical, and client experience skills to develop a national geotechnical engineering program. The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will manage large geotechnical engineering projects and lead the coordination of national teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the continued development of a new national geotechnical engineering program
  • Manage large geotechnical engineering projects for Terracon’s largest clients within the Digital Infrastructure sector
  • Collaborate with local engineers and Subject Matter Experts in a national network of 170 offices
  • Focus on consistent project delivery, assisting local offices with innovative methods in site characterization and data visualization
  • Assist in geotechnical engineering aspects of resource management, project scheduling, budgets, and forecasts
  • Conduct meetings with clients and prepare status reports
  • Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet targets and milestones
  • Prepare proposals and cost estimates, tracking project progress and recommending changes
  • Develop a programmatic approach to client's use of Terracon's services
  • Lead Annual Business Reviews (ABRs) and monthly programmatic sync calls with select clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years’ related experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration
  • Extensive project management and geotechnical engineering experience on projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Master’s degree with geotechnical emphasis preferred.
  • 8 years’ related experience

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree with geotechnical emphasis
  • Experience in and affinity for the development and/or application of technology within geotechnical engineering
