General Service Associate

About This Role

The General Service Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a T&T Supermarket by assisting customers with requests, operating checkout, and ensuring store cleanliness and organization.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a friendly attitude and provide good customer service
• Maintain cleanliness and proper placement of shopping baskets and trolleys
• Return merchandise to the sales area properly and process fresh/frozen goods timely to minimize shortage
• Provide proper packing services, separating items appropriately (light on heavy, hot/cold, raw/cooked)
• Deliver fast and accurate checkout service, preventing fraud by verifying PLU numbers, scanning merchandise, and identifying counterfeit payments
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and functionality of checkout stations
• Stay updated on product locations and in-store promotions to assist customers efficiently

Requirements

• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekdays, weekends, evening hours, and statutory holidays
• Ability to stand for long periods and safely use work-related tools
• Knowledge of basic work safety and essential mathematics

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in handling cash is preferred

• Ability to communicate in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin)
