General Maintenance

About This Role

Maintain a properly controlled facility, ensuring a clean and safe physical environment for medical staff, patients, and the public. Provide necessary repairs and physical assistance across all departments, keeping equipment in operating order.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a properly controlled facility to ensure cleanliness and safety
• Provide physical assistance and necessary repairs to all departments
• Keep all equipment in operating order
• Follow verbal and written instructions for tasks
• Utilize basic mechanical and electrical skills for maintenance duties
• Identify and report emergency problems to the Operations Supervisor or Director
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks like replacing light bulbs and cleaning equipment
• Ensure care of grounds

Requirements

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Proficient with hand tools
• Ability to climb a 25 ft ladder
• Ability to stand 1/3 day and/or walk 2/3 day
• Basic mechanical and electrical skills
• Ability to use lawn equipment, power tools/equipment, and miscellaneous maintenance tools
• Ability to demonstrate correct use of chemicals, supplies, and equipment (after training)
• Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in general facility maintenance preferred.
