General Maintenance

About This Role

Maintain the efficient repair and condition of all assets at the Hershey Inn & Suites, a new hotel opening in Spring 2026. This role involves performing general maintenance, preventive maintenance, and responding to guest service calls.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance and preventive maintenance of plumbing, electrical (up to 480 volts), HVAC, carpentry, and painting
• Monitor and complete pool equipment repairs and projects, including scheduled testing of required chemical levels
• Install and repair kitchen equipment, ensuring proper troubleshooting and repair of dishwasher water lines, valves, and low pressure steam lines
• Maintain building and grounds, including cosmetic appearance repairs, clean up, and recycling duties
• Respond in a timely and professional manner to guest room calls for general maintenance
• Complete shift reports detailing work performed to ensure efficient communication with other team members and supervisor

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Verifiable work experience in hotel (or similar industry) maintenance including preventive maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and kitchen repair
• Technical schooling or four years of related work experience in the above trades
• Ability to be certified and operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other similar equipment
• Ability to accurately identify and report on water, electric, and gas meters
• Working knowledge to use an electric meter to identify the presence of electricity, as well as working knowledge of lockout/tagout system
• Working knowledge of plumbing to include basic repairs to toilets, faucets, and drain lines of tubs/sinks
• Ability to use and understand test equipment, schematic circuits, and blueprints
• Ability to follow all established safety and energy conservation procedures

Qualifications

• Four years of related work experience in hotel (or similar industry) maintenance including preventive maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and kitchen repair.
