Operate industrial high-temperature furnaces to produce carbon brakes for commercial and military aircraft applications, ensuring product quality and meeting delivery timelines. This entry-level role involves loading/unloading, preventative maintenance, and monitoring the carbon vapor deposition process.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial high-temperature furnaces designed to deposit hydrocarbon molecules within a textile carbon preform
- Load and unload furnaces, performing preventative maintenance and monitoring operations
- Maneuver high-capacity cranes, utilize forklifts, and operate various other pieces of equipment
- Uphold process integrity and ensure quality standards are met throughout all furnace operations
- Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) regulations and proactively identify and address safety hazards
- Follow standard operating procedures to uphold safety protocols and ensure product quality
- Utilize basic to intermediate computer skills for data entry and process monitoring
- Lift up to 25 lbs. (anything over 25 lbs. would need to be lift assisted)
Requirements
- HS diploma or GED
- Experience using hand tools
- Must be a U.S. Person
Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED
Nice to Have
- Manufacturing or similar industry related experience
- Experience with inventory control
- Ability to prioritize tasks under constantly changing conditions where ingenuity and judgment are required
