About This Role

Operate industrial high-temperature furnaces to produce carbon brakes for commercial and military aircraft applications, ensuring product quality and meeting delivery timelines. This entry-level role involves loading/unloading, preventative maintenance, and monitoring the carbon vapor deposition process.

Responsibilities

  • Operate industrial high-temperature furnaces designed to deposit hydrocarbon molecules within a textile carbon preform
  • Load and unload furnaces, performing preventative maintenance and monitoring operations
  • Maneuver high-capacity cranes, utilize forklifts, and operate various other pieces of equipment
  • Uphold process integrity and ensure quality standards are met throughout all furnace operations
  • Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) regulations and proactively identify and address safety hazards
  • Follow standard operating procedures to uphold safety protocols and ensure product quality
  • Utilize basic to intermediate computer skills for data entry and process monitoring
  • Lift up to 25 lbs. (anything over 25 lbs. would need to be lift assisted)

Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED
  • Experience using hand tools
  • Must be a U.S. Person

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice to Have

  • Manufacturing or similar industry related experience
  • Experience with inventory control
  • Ability to prioritize tasks under constantly changing conditions where ingenuity and judgment are required
