Fund Controller (Private Credit)

About This Role

This role involves leading accounting, reporting, and compliance for a private credit fund, overseeing fund operations, and supporting liquidity management and investor inquiries. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SEC reporting and private credit.

Responsibilities

• Manage fund structures, operations, and new launches, including system implementations, control environments, and process manuals
• Prepare and review SEC filings such as N-PORT, N-CEN, N-CSR, and annual/semi-annual reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Oversee daily NAVs, monthly/quarterly closes, allocations, waterfalls, and fund returns while coordinating with administrators, custodians, and valuation firms
• Produce quarterly board materials, marketing presentations, and investor reporting packages
• Monitor compliance with SEC and IRS regulations, manage incentive fee reviews, and oversee fund credit facilities
• Oversee cash flow forecasts, budgets, leverage facilities, and portfolio compliance testing including reconciliation and concentration analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7-12 years of accounting and finance experience with SEC reporting for registered investment companies and private credit
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including macros
• Experience designing and implementing policies, procedures, and controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7-12 years of accounting and finance experience with SEC reporting for registered investment companies and private credit, with daily NAV fund experience preferred
