Fund Accounting Manager

About This Role

Manage fund accounting processes for a growing firm, overseeing financial statement preparation, audits, and tax coordination for private equity, venture capital, hedge fund, or real estate funds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of quarter-end and year-end financial statement packages at the Fund level and allocation to Limited Partner level entities
• Coordinate with the VP of Finance and Fund Administrator the preparation of year-end financials and audit reports with the firm's outside auditor, pursuant to SEC compliance
• Coordinate with Portfolio Company CFO’s and the firm’s outside tax preparer the Limited Partner and General Partner level tax returns
• Prepare and/or review of management fee and waterfall calculation
• Prepare and/or review of internal rate of return and multiple of capital
• Coordinate the preparation of Capital Calls and Distributions for Limited Partners
• Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial reporting

Requirements

• CPA or working towards CPA license
• Experience within public accounting and a private equity firm OR public accounting experience auditing private equity, venture capital, hedge fund, or real estate funds

Qualifications

• Mix of experience within public accounting and a private equity firm OR coming straight out of public accounting with experience auditing private equity, venture capital, hedge fund, or real estate funds.
