Full Time Floor Technician

About This Role

This role involves performing day-to-day housekeeping functions, ensuring all assigned areas meet or exceed cleanliness standards for residents. The Floor Technician will maintain furnishings, fixtures, and meticulously clean various spaces within the community.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions in assigned areas according to daily work assignments
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services for routine cleaning in resident living and recreational areas
• Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, and heating/cooling units in residents' rooms and recreational areas daily
• Clean and service all aspects of rooms, baths, offices, and common areas to achieve a "like new" effect
• Clean floors, including sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting, while ensuring appropriate caution/safety signs are in place

Requirements

• Proficient ability to read, write, and understand business documents in English
• Ability to understand verbal English and speak English
• Ability to communicate verbally with residents, families, visitors, and co-workers
• Ability to make oneself clearly understood by others
• Ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions
• Ability to move cleaning equipment/food throughout the facility, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and small amounts continuously
