Culinary Server

About This Role

The Culinary Server assists dietary and kitchen staff in a senior living community, performing functions such as setting tables, preparing trays, washing dishes, and cleaning. This role is crucial for delivering outstanding food service to residents and requires a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Bus and clean tables after meals
• Prepare and serve beverages and food in dining rooms or other required areas
• Blend food, prepare steam tables, and make hot carts
• Wash, scrape, rack, sort, stack, and store dishes
• Mop, sweep, and clean work areas, and take out trash
• Wrap silverware
• Receive, store, date, and rotate groceries, frozen foods, and produce
• Detect, correct, or report situations that could cause accidents or injuries
• Observe and report resident symptoms, reactions, and changes
• Participate in in-service training and maintain compliance with policies and regulations

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and understand business documents in English
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally with residents, families, visitors, and co-workers
• Ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including moving equipment (up to 20 lbs occasionally) and standing/walking over 75% of shift
• Ability to safely utilize kitchen equipment
• Commitment to Christian principles and teachings
